Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using SnapFood (the “App”), you agree to these Terms & Conditions (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the App.

Eligibility

The App is not intended for children under 13. By using the App, you represent that you meet applicable age requirements in your region.

Accounts

Some features require an account (email/Google/Apple sign-in). You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account.

Using the App

You must comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
You may not attempt to interfere with, disrupt, reverse engineer, or bypass App security or usage limits.
You are responsible for the content you upload and for ensuring you have the rights to upload it.
Publicly shared content may be moderated or removed at our discretion.

Free Tier & Usage Limits

The App may provide a limited free tier (for example, a small number of scans). Usage limits may apply and may change over time to protect the service from abuse and ensure fair access.

Subscriptions & Billing

The App offers subscriptions that unlock additional scans and saved recipes. All payments are processed through Apple In-App Purchasesand are subject to Apple’s terms and policies. We do not store or process your payment card details.

Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
You can manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple ID settings.
If you start a free trial (if offered), any unused portion may be forfeited upon purchase, subject to Apple’s rules.

AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

The App uses AI services (including OpenAI and Stability AI) to analyze images and generate recipe content and images. AI results may be incomplete, inaccurate, or inappropriate for your situation. You are responsible for verifying outputs before relying on them.

Food Safety, Allergies, and Health Disclaimer

Recipes and suggestions are provided for informational purposes only and do not constitute medical, nutritional, or dietary advice. You are solely responsible for:

Checking ingredients for allergens and dietary restrictions
Following safe food handling and cooking practices
Ensuring food is cooked to safe temperatures and stored properly

If you have allergies or medical conditions, consult a qualified professional before relying on recipe suggestions.

User Content & License

You retain ownership of content you upload. By uploading content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, display, and use that content to operate, improve, and provide App features. If you choose to share content publicly or with other users, you grant us the right to display that content within the App in connection with those features.

Service Availability

We do not guarantee that the App will be available at all times, uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the App at any time.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App if we believe you have violated these Terms or used the App in a harmful or abusive manner.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SnapFood and its operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of the App.

You use the App at your own risk. Without limiting the above, we are not responsible for outcomes related to cooking, food safety, allergies, or decisions made based on AI-generated content.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SnapFood and its operator from claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses arising out of your use of the App, your uploaded content, or your violation of these Terms.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
