This Privacy Policy explains how SnapFood (“we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the SnapFood: AI Kitchen Recipes mobile application.

Information We Collect

• Account Information: If you create an account, we collect your email address and a unique user identifier. Accounts unlock additional scans and saved recipes.
• User-Generated Content: Photos of ingredients, fridge contents, and prepared dishes that you upload to use core features of the app.
• Usage & Diagnostic Data: Limited analytics such as feature usage, error logs, and anonymous device identifiers used to enforce usage limits and improve reliability.

How We Use Your Information

• Analyze ingredient images and generate recipes using AI.
• Generate AI-created food images.
• Save recipes and cooking history for signed-in users.
• Enforce free-tier and subscription usage limits.
• Improve performance, stability, and user experience.

AI & Third-Party Services

SnapFood uses third-party services to provide core functionality, including:

• OpenAI for ingredient and recipe analysis.
• Stability AI for image generation.
• AWS (Amazon Web Services) for secure image storage.

Ingredient images and related data may be transmitted to these services strictly for processing. These providers are not permitted to use your data for advertising purposes.

Image Storage

Images you upload are stored securely to enable core app features such as recipe generation and history. By default, your images are private and visible only to you. We do not publicly share your images without your action or consent.

User-Initiated Sharing

The App may allow you to share content (such as photos of cooked meals) with other users or publicly, if you choose to do so. If you make content public, you understand that it may be viewed, shared, or interacted with by others. You are responsible for content you choose to share.

Payments & Subscriptions

SnapFood offers optional subscriptions. All payments are processed exclusively through Apple In-App Purchases. We do not collect or store payment card information.

Data Retention

We retain personal data only as long as necessary to provide the app’s functionality, comply with legal obligations, and resolve disputes. You may request deletion of your data at any time.

Your Choices

• Request access to or deletion of your account data.
• Delete your account by contacting us.
• Control camera and photo permissions through your device settings.

Children’s Privacy

SnapFood is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
