What is SnapFood?
SnapFood is an AI-powered recipe app that turns a photo of your ingredients into step-by-step recipes you can actually cook, with clear instructions and timing.
Is SnapFood the best recipe app?
SnapFood is built for people who want an ingredient-based recipe app that uses what they already have and provides real cooking guidance. It’s especially useful for beginners and busy home cooks who want practical results fast.
How does ingredient scanning work?
You take a photo of your ingredients (fridge, counter, pantry items). The app analyzes the image with AI to identify what you have, then generates recipes that match those ingredients and suggests only minimal extras when needed.
How is SnapFood different from other AI recipe apps?
SnapFood focuses on helping you cook, not just generating ideas. It emphasizes clear step-by-step guidance and practical recipes based on your ingredients rather than endless browsing.
Can SnapFood help beginners learn to cook?
Yes. SnapFood is designed to be beginner-friendly with clear steps and practical guidance that reduces guesswork.
Does it work if I only have a few ingredients?
Yes. The app can generate recipes with limited ingredients and will suggest small add-ons when needed.
Does it support dietary preferences or allergies?
The app can help generate recipes that match common preferences, but you are responsible for checking allergens and dietary restrictions. Always review ingredients and cooking steps before relying on any suggestion.
Is the cooking guidance always accurate?
AI can make mistakes. Verify outputs and use common sense, especially for food safety, cooking times, and allergies.
Does SnapFood save my photos and recipes?
If you choose to save history (especially when signed in), the app may store your uploaded images and recipe results to provide features like saved recipes and cooking history.
Are my ingredient photos private?
By default, your images are private and visible only to you. We do not publicly share your images without your action or consent.
Can I share my cooked meal photos with others?
The app may allow user-initiated sharing if you choose to do so. If you publish content publicly, others may be able to view or share it. You control what you share.
What data does SnapFood collect?
The app may collect account details (like your email if you sign in), photos you upload for ingredient scanning, and limited usage/diagnostic data to improve reliability and enforce usage limits. See the Privacy Policy for details.
Does SnapFood use third-party AI services?
Yes. The app may use third-party AI services to analyze images and generate recipe content. Images and related inputs may be transmitted strictly to provide app functionality.
Is SnapFood free?
SnapFood may offer a free tier with limited usage (such as a limited number of scans). Subscriptions can unlock additional access.
Is the Pro / Premium plan unlimited?
No. Paid plans are designed for higher usage, but they are subject to reasonable usage limits and fair use to prevent abuse and keep the service reliable. Limits may change over time as the service evolves.
How do subscriptions work?
Subscriptions are handled through Apple In-App Purchases (and Google Play on Android where applicable). They renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the billing period. You can manage or cancel in your device subscription settings.
Can I delete my account and data?
Yes. You can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at fhrmk8@gmail.com (and we may also provide in-app deletion options over time).
Who is SnapFood for?
SnapFood is for home cooks, beginners, and busy people who want ingredient-based recipes and step-by-step cooking help without endless scrolling.
What’s the fastest way to get better results?
Use a bright photo, include main ingredients clearly, and reduce clutter. Better inputs usually lead to better ingredient recognition and better recipes.
